Indonesia’s national airline, Garuda Indonesia, plans to increase the current daily flight from Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta to twice daily in November.

Garuda Indonesia, has announced a doubling of the available capacity and an increase in the daily services from seven to nine flights on the Singapore-Jakarta route from the end of October 2009. Commencing 16th September 2009, the route will be operated using the new 222-seater Airbus A330-200.

Indonesia’s national carrier, Garuda Indonesia, has announced new direct flights to Jakarta from Australia’s two major cities - Sydney and Melbourne. The new flights mark an expansion its business between Australia and Indonesia.

Yesterday evening the Ministry of Transport of the European Union has lifted the ban imposed to Garuda Indonesia and other three Indonesian domestic carriers, which was imposed in July 2007.

Garuda Indonesia, the national airline of Indonesia, has signed an operating lease agreement with DAE Capital for the sale and leaseback of eight new B737-800 aircraft which are due to be delivered by Boeing from June 2009.

Garuda Indonesia and China Airlines signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which will help the Garuda’s ongoing network development and offer better value to customers.
