Garuda plans to develop new second city hubs in Indonesia

In line with its Quantum Leap strategic plan, Indonesian flag carrier Garuda Indonesia has announced its aim to develop secondary hubs in Indonesian major cities. These new bases will be  in addition to its two major hubs at Jakarta and Denpasar. The secondary hub airports would include cities such as Balikpapan in East Kalimantan, Medan in North Sumatra, Surabaya in East Java and Makassar in South Sulawesi.
