Garuda Indonesia has confirmed that it has concluded negotiations with Boeing to swap its order for 10 787 aircraft for a new contract to purchase 10 Boeing 777-300ERs.   The original deal was completed in Autumn 2005, however Boeing have announced significant deelays in teh producyion of the new 787 and Garuda's development plans require early delivery of new aircraft. This year Garuda receive up to 23 new 737-800s and one A330-200. This is as planned in its strategic Quantum Leap growth plan. Garuda have already revealed that this plan requires its fleet of aircraft to double in size by 2014 from the 58 aircraft operated in 2008.
