Air Berlin Expansion Air Berlin does not do things on a small scale; in November 2006 they announced fleet expansion orders with Boeing for a total of 85 new aircraft, 60 x 737-800’s and 25 x 737- 700’s. Equally important from a passenger perspective is the growing number of departure points and destinations served by a carrier that offer low fares and on-board service (including assigned seating at check-in).
